Studios Filippidis is located on the shore of Golden Beach. The village of Golden Beach is situated in a picturesque location on the east side of the island overlooking the Aegean Sea.
Studios Filippidis is sited 100 meters from the sea offering a combination of vacation and leisure possibilities. Golden Beach is the most well known beach of the island and ideal for all ages, there is also a multitude of other beautiful beaches and sights nearby such as Saliara, Porto Vathy and Paradise Beach.
The settlement of Panagia is a traditional village of Thassos only 2 km away from Studios Filippidis. The village's name along with its eleven surrounding chapels indicate the intense religiosity of the area which in 1845 was capital of the island. The village got its name from the church of Panagia (Virgin Mary) and has remained unchanged since 1832.
The village boasts several water springs and a large Sycamore tree stands in the village square.
